Who Wore It Best: Burberry Prorsum edition

I've already done two #WWIB editions of an Italian brand (Valentino here and hereand one for a French brand (Louis Vuitton here), so it was just a matter of time before it comes to an English brand's edition (no, Kate Middleton doesn't count as "English brand"! here)

Burberry recently had an event in Los Angeles, Burberry “London in Los Angeles” fashion show, and I saw some familiar looks so I thought it'd be fun to see how many times and how many celebs wore Burberry's creations.

Enjoy!
Let's start with Brit singer Paloma Faith, who wore this printed trench coat while heading at Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 fashion show last September while Brit model Naomie Campbell wore it for the afternoon opening of the Burberry ‘London In Los Angeles’ event.

Vanessa Hudgens vs Dinah Hansen

Once again we have to compare not an entire dress, but a single piece: in this casa, Alice + Olivia's floreal long skirt.Actress Vanessa Hudgens wore this skirt first, and paired it with a matching crop top from the same designer and added a "rock" touch with a black leather jacket at the Broadway opening night performance of ‘Fun Home’ last 19th of April in New York.                                                                   Singer (and member of the all female group Fifth HarmonyDinah Hansen wore the same skirt at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards, but styled it with a simple sleeveless white top on 25th of April in Los Angeles.

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
It was meant to be only for books BUT
I changed it a little bit so will be 5 books I want to read but don't own yet and 5 movies I'm planning to see PLUS it's going to be monthly not weekly.

What I've seen/read of the previous #TTTs:
- Furious 7
- Making Faces by Amy Harmor
- Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire

Movie Review: Furious 7

Furious 7 (2015) directed by James Wan. With Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Dwayne Johnson.

Last week I finally managed to go seeing Paul Walker's last (unfortunately, literally speaking) movie. I'm a fan of the series and I found out that Universal announced that in addition to the seven movies already done, there will be threee more...of course, saying it is one thing, doing them...well, we'll see.

On its  US opening day, the movie hit the record for best April's opening of all times (with $67 million the first day and over $147 million during the first weekend...)...it's the 4th major debut, after two Harry Potter's episodes and The Avengers

By now it counts more than $800 million worldwide

Let me get into the plot and then my opinions!

Get Her Look: Jennifer Lawrence' Style

Jennifer Lawrence is the actress of the moment, not only for her amazing acting career and movie choices, but also for her style and hilarious sense of humour during red carpet and promoting interviews!
If you haven't lived under a rock lately, you'd probably know that Jennifer is Christian Dior brand ambassador and consequently she usually wear Dior, like this black jacket/dress she wore at the premiere for 'Serena' during the 58th BFI London Film Festival last October.

If you liked her outfit and want to replicate it, on sheinside.com there's a similar dress that can be perfect for the "task"!

Novel Of The Week: Making Faces by Amy Harmon

Today I wanted to showed you a comparison between the US and Italian cover of the novel Making Faces by Amy Harmon
On the left the US one, on the right the Italian's, which is the most eye catching of the two, but after reading the book, the scene on it makes no sense at all PLUS the Italian title is "You're my sun even at night" it's aweful...thank God the novel is a whole other story!

[SPOILER ALERT!]

Hailee Steinfeld vs Sienna Miller

For this Who Wore it Best we have a very cute striped, without sleeves dress by A.L.C.
Let's do this!
Actress Hailee Steinfeld wore the white version of this dress first, at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet last year in August. She styled it with black Louboutins and left her hair loose. Also last year, in December, Brit actress Sienna Miller wore the same dress (this time the blue version) while heading to ‘American Sniper’ New York press conference. She opted for a more sporty look and styled is with open toe shoes and (with her short messy bob) showed the leather collar detail of the dress, which I liked a lot!

For me, Sienna rocked it!
Who do you think wore it better:
Hailee Steinfeld or Sienna Miller?

Cure it with Movies: Becoming a Nanny

We all had, at some point in our life, a baby sitter. Whether we liked it or not and no matter for how long we beg our parents, saying that we were "old enough to take care of ourselves and be left home alone" we had this person coming into our home and lives.

My personal esperience was super positive and, since there were 3 children in my family, we had a few nannies and all of them were amazing people.

So if you're about to become a nanny, maybe just as a summertime job or longer, you maybe would want to watch this list of movies (and a TV series) as inspiration.

Enjoy

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins (1964 Movie) Original Poster - my favorite!
Ok, Mary Poppins was an obvious choice. world's most famous nanny was born by  Pamela L. Travers' pen in 1934 and inspired the famous Disney's movie, a musical and has 7 "sequel" with her as protagonist.

Movie Review: Beyond The Lights

Gugu Mbatha-Raw & Nate Parker Spice Up the First Poster for Gina Prince-Bythewood's 'Beyond the Lights'
Beyond The Lights (2014) directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. With Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver and Danny Gloven.

I read about this movie recently on a blog and the writer said:"I you liked 'Safe Heaven' you should really watch this movie..."

Did I like 'Safe Heaven'? You can bet I did!

Since the movie's background is the music industry, it shouldn't be surprising that it has a killing soundtrack and yet...I found myself amazed by Nina Simon's "Blackbird" sung by the protagonist and al the other songs chosen.

But let's skip all of this "bla bla" and let's get to the review!
