Day 2, May 3rd: the main program of the day was visiting the Musée du Louvre, which I've never been to, instead of Silvia, who had been there a few times.
We woke up early in the morning and took the subway to the Champs-Élysées, where we had breakfast. We wanted to go to Ladurée (famous French luxury bakery and sweets maker house), but it was really too expensive for us...we walked down the Champs and finished in a gallery full of tourist's shops with souvenirs and postcards, there we found a bakery where macarons were sold 1euro a piece...HAPPINESS!!!

We arrived at the museum and got in line. When we got in, the ticket man told us that we didn't have to pay for enter because for EU citizens younger than 26 years visiting all the museums was for free, all we needed to do was showing the ID card before walking in...AMAZING!!!
We had a list of painting and statues we wanted to see, so we took the map and started the tour!
First of all (because we're Italian) we saw probably Leonardo Da Vinci's most famous (and copied) painting: la Gioconda or Monna Lisa. I was stunned, I saw the copies of that painting a million times, but seeing it for real was a completely new experience.
